The Peak Route (open from May to November depending on weather conditions) runs for 80 km along the summits of the Vosges Mountains, from the Col du Bonhomme mountain pass in the north, to the peak of the Grand Ballon in the south. It is one of the most beautiful routes in the Higher Vosges for admiring typical landscapes, high-altitude lakes, and all the plants and wildlife of the Vosges Mountains. With an elevation between 940 and 1,400 m, this road runs alongside the GR5 long-distance foot path that follows the ridges of the summits, a unique route for hikers.
