A glacial lake, Gérardmer is the largest natural lake in the Vosges Mountains at an elevation of 660 m. Surface: 115 ha, maximum length: 2.2 km, maximum width: 750 m, maximum depth: 38.4 m. A 6-km marked hiking trail circles the lake. Supervised swimming at the Union Nautique beach from June to September.
